Frequently Asked Questions

How often is the bedding changed?

Bedding is changed weekly, during the Friday change-over. If you are staying longer than 7 days, we would expect that you would require fresh linen. Weleave the linen in the cottage for you to change it.

Are any of the properties more suitable for disabled access than others?

Long Cart Cottage is more suitable due to it being on a single level, therefore we like to try to keep this property for those needing more access.

Do the properties have Internet access?

All cottages have FREE Fibre WiFi.

Do you have any special offers?

We have regular special offers throughout the year, please contact us for further details.

We are arriving late how do we pick up our key?

Keys are accessed from a key safe, directly outside the cottage. We will provide you with the combination, so it doesn't matter if you arrive late.

Who do I contact if I have a problem

Please see the guest Information folder within your property, this will give you the numbers to contact depending on your problem.

Are pets allowed at any of the properties?

We accept one well-behaved dog in Low Croft Cottage, Grey Croft & Homestead, two in Granary Stone House and one in North Farm Retreat.

It is our aim to be mindful of all guests.  The gardens allowing pets are not enclosed.  As such, we ask the following:

1)    Dogs should be kept on a lead at all times when on site.  If left outside, they should be tethered at one of the tethering rings.

2)   When using the private path to the dunes or to Embleton, please ensure that dogs are kept on a lead until they are through the gates and into the corn fields.  Please put dogs on the lead if there are animals (particularly ponies) or children nearby.

3)   Dogs should not be left to bark.

4)   Dogs should not cause a nuisance to other guests or the owner of North Farm Cottages.

5)   All dog mess should be cleared up immediately, wrapped and placed in the dustbin. Ideally, dog owners will take their dogs for an early-morning walk off site to let the dogs go to the toilet.  Nappy sacks are normally provided in the pet cupboard for this purpose.

6)   Dogs should be kept downstairs and not be allowed upstairs, and should not be allowed on furniture or in carpetted rooms.

7)   Dogs should not be left unattended in the cottage.

If any of the other guests are bothered by the pets, in the first instance we will discuss any problem with you, but we do reserve the right in extreme circumstances to ask you and the pet/s to leave.  In this situation, you would not be entitled to any refund on the balance of monies paid to us by you.
